About Solar da Levada

Solar da Levada is a historic estate at Ponte do Porto, Amares, in the Braga district, close to the Cávado river and to its sister venue, Quinta Lago dos Cisnes. The manor dates from 1710.

The main hall is set inside the stone ruins of the old manor, for up to around 250 guests, with a lounge for dancing beside it, a terrace for summer weddings and a chapel. Lagoons with fountains, waterfalls and gardens surround the house, and the estate hosts one wedding per day, for around 140 to 300 guests.

Filming a wedding at Solar da Levada

Stone walls, water and greenery: Solar da Levada is a very cinematic place. The ruins give the reception a texture that no modern hall has, and the lagoons and waterfalls are perfect for portraits away from the guests.

Because it hosts only one wedding a day, the whole estate is yours, and we can move freely between the chapel, the gardens and the hall.
